Mavic Ellipse Track Cycling Wheelset, one of the lightest, most versatile Track Cycling wheelsets currently available for training and racing.
The Mavic Ellipse Track Cycling Wheelset now benefits from Mavic's latest improvement in rim design and gets a new lighter rim extrusion that makes it even more responsive while maintaining its key assets.
This concept was driven by performance development studies with the UCI World Cycling Center.
The aerodynamic efficiency of the Mavic Ellipse Track Cycling Wheelset has also been dramatically improved thanks to these studies with unaltered power transfer thanks to the high stiffness and low weight.
The Mavic Ellipse Track Cycling Wheelset have a unique feature in that the special shape of the spoke end, on the thread, makes it impossible to loosen.The spokes stays tightly screwed into the nipple, no tension loss is occuring.

Fixie/Singlespeed Use
This wheelset can be used for both Track Cycling on a Velodrome or Outdoor Track or Fixie/Singlespeed Bikes as the hubs have sealed bearings and the rims have a dedicated braking surface. The Hub on this wheel accepts both fixed and singlespeed freewheel sprockets.
Grass Track Cycling Use
This wheelset can be used for Grass Track Cycling, we recommend you use traditional width (25mm and over) Grass Track Cycling Tyres for the optimum setup.
