Track Wheels

Track Wheels
Track Cycling Wheels or Fixed Gear Wheels are bicycle wheels that are optimized for racing at a velodrome or outdoor track. Unlike Road Cycling Wheels, the gearing for Track Cycling Wheels, in the form of a Track Cycling Sprocket, is screwed or bolted directly to the hub. When the rear wheel turns, the pedals turn in the same direction which allows a cyclist to stop without using a brake, by resisting the rotation of the cranks, and also to ride in reverse.
