Stems connect your Handlebars to your Bike via the steerer column of your Forks they come in a variety of widths and angles however you need to ensure that your stem has the same clamp diameter, either 31.8mm (Oversized) or 26/25.8mm (Standard), as your handlebars so that you can fit your handlebars to your bike.
